REBATE INFORMATION
MEDICARE: For chronic diseases, like Osteopororis, your GP may provide you with access to rebates on up to 5 visits per year. These Medicare referrals can be used for INITIAL ASSESSMENTS and for ONE-ON-ONE FOLLOW-UP SESSIONS. Medicare referrals cannot be used for Group Sessions.
Allied Health Group Services for patients with Type 2 Diabetes (item number 81110), can be used for Initial consult OR 1:1 follow-up session (not both) and up to 8 group sessions (item number 81115). (Many GPs have not heard of this service - we suggest taking these numbers to them, if you have Type 2 Diabetes.)
PRIVATE HEALTH FUNDS: if you are covered for extras including Exercise Physiology, you will be able claim for some of the fee for Initial, Follow-up and Group Sessions. Some funds (e.g. Phoenix Health Fund) will cover programs up to a certain number of attendances.
GROUP SESSIONS
We currently offer classes at Ettalong and Mingara. Contact us for times as these occasionally change.
Health Fund rebates apply to these group sessions, if you are covered for Extras including Exercise Physiology.
Participating in the strong bones program has made me more confident in my physical strength and more hopeful for the future as I age. It has given me consistency in my approach to living with osteoporosis and it ‘s encouraging to see improvement.

It’s the first time that I’ve looked forward to doing exercise classes They are fun, inspiring and … good for me! It feels great knowing that I’m getting stronger. Jay is fabulous, caring, kind and knowledgeable I feel safe under his care and enjoy.
I feel very positive about attending the strong bones program. I enjoy being part of the group, being able to meet our own targets while all focusing on gaining strength and supporting each other. The program is a great motivator, highly recommend.
