Through the 90s and 2000s medications have been developed, which further slow bone loss. Controversially, worrying effects are seen in some. Recent advances have been very successful.

In 2019, a study from Griffith University, here in Australia, was published showing "High-Intensity Resistance and Impact Training Improves Bone Mineral Density and Physical Function in Postmenopausal Women With Osteopenia and Osteoporosis"

2020 saw the follow-up study in Men, which found "High Resistance and Impact Training was well-tolerated and improved bone, function and fracture risk"

The Onero program is developed using the LIFTMOR exercises and delivered in allied health clinics, providing guided exercise for individuals with OP.

We have built our program around the LIFTMOR interventions, using dosages consistent with the original trials, using a range of equipment and geared for time efficiency, with the option for Home-based routines between clinic visits.
Participating in the strong bones program has made me more confident in my physical strength and more hopeful for the future as I age. It has given me consistency in my approach to living with osteoporosis and it ‘s encouraging to see improvement.

It’s the first time that I’ve looked forward to doing exercise classes They are fun, inspiring and … good for me! It feels great knowing that I’m getting stronger. Jay is fabulous, caring, kind and knowledgeable I feel safe under his care and enjoy.
I feel very positive about attending the strong bones program. I enjoy being part of the group, being able to meet our own targets while all focusing on gaining strength and supporting each other. The program is a great motivator, highly recommend.
